Striper Fishing Remains Strong on Lanier!
The Striper fishing is still great on Lake Lanier! As summer winds down
this is a great time to get out on the water and catch stripers from
the yak! The boat traffic will be very light after Labor day so get
that yak ready!!!
The old school sonar shot above shows some nice deep stripers coming up
to look at a blueback. Keep your baits around the 30-40 ft mark this
time of year and you will see the stripers zoom up from the depths to
inhale the bait!!! My last trip was decent with three stripers and a
catfish! The striper fishing has been so great this year that a three
striper trip is now something I consider to be a slow day!!
I will be back out on the water in September and will make some crappie
trips as the weather transitions into fall. For now the down lined
striper bite is the best thing going on Lanier in the Kayak! Good luck
on the water!
